In this seminar we will take a look at what has been termed mental time travel. This is the ability to retrieve past, self-relevant, memories and also to think about future, self-relevant, events. In particular, we will be looking at how olfactory cues influence the retrieval process / the process of projecting into the future, and how odors compare to other cues, like pictures, words, and sounds.
