This is a country that has more names than you can throw a stick at: Germany, Allemagne, Tyskland, Duitsland, Germania, Alemania, Njemacka, Njemcy, Saksa, Vacija and Vokietijà, to name but a few!

From the ideas behind these different names via the stereotypes about Germans, such as punctuality, law-abidance, efficiency and – I‘m sure we can all agree on this one – the complete lack of any sense of humour, this course will take you to ideas of Germany in the future.

How and where in Germany are people working towards it, both on a philosophical level and in visionary projects? We‘ll touch matters like social interaction, renewable energy, filter bubbles and education.
