This course will be offered in a digital format. Please wait until you have been officially accepted. Then you will receive further instructions with helpful information on forms of discussion as well as work assignments.

You will be working in pairs throughout the term and have to speak on the phone in English (!) at least once every week. Therefore, you need to find a reliable partner. Please already think about who you wish to work with!

In addition to the course work, personal tuition will be carried out in form of telephone conferences.

This seminar is mandatory for all master students in their final semester who are writing their master thesis in the English department in the field of literature/culture (or literary or cultural didactics).

(If you choose to write your master's thesis in English linguistics, applied linguisitics or didactics, please enrol in Prof. Kersten's and Prof. Lenz's classes, respectively!)

In this master seminar, we will discuss questions of academic writing and how to structure academic papers in the field of literature/culture, and you will present your master projects and receive feedback in the course of your writing process.
