Reading literacy is the basic premise for any kind of literacy. The aim of this course is to provide detailed insights into foreign language learners’ reading performances: How do students acquire reading literacy competencies in English as a foreign language (L2, L3)? In which respects do these competencies vary from their achievements in L1? The available research results will be discussed critically by reflecting on proper assessment and evaluation measures (cf. Nds. GVBl. Nr. 33/2007, Linguistics). |
