A comprehensive list of grammars available in the university library will be provided at course onset. Throughout the course, however, I will refer to "Advanced Grammar in Use" by Martin Hewings, as well as the "Understanding and Using English Grammar" series by Betty Schrampfer Azar. Please note that you are not required to purchase these works.

The tutorial (Übung) is intended to provide you opportunity to review and augment your existing knowledge of selected themes in English grammar and systematically delve into greater depth. A chronological list of themes to be dealt with in class shall be available prior to semester begin.

NB: In order to take part in the final exam you must register for the "Sprachkompetenz Englisch Klausur" 'course' via LSF prior to the deadline.

This tutorial provides a systematic study of the intricacies of English grammar at an advanced level.

Open to all students as of their first semester in IFK and IKÜ. This is a preparatory course for the Sprachkompetenz Exam and supplements Sprachvertiefung Englisch: Textarbeit (course Nr. 4101). Highly recommended for exchange students.
