Please note that due to the current situation, the course will be held online. The system to be used will be announced in an e-mail before the first meeting. Attendance as well as active participation is still mandatory.

This course is aimed at international students as well as students from Germany who wish to talk about German Culture in English. Topics will include the following:

- German history and politics (a historical overview, political system, etc.)

- German language, literature, theatre, music (development of the different areas of culture (in the traditional sense), etc.)

- comparison of German culture to the students' own culture during discussions

- any relevant topic that participants suggest for discussion

In addition to a discussion of German Culture, we will inevitably talk about how to give a presentation, since everyone will have to give a presentation. Therefore, this course will provide both an introduction to German Culture and lots of language practice. And finally, this course is going to be fun!
