The course invites participants to explore and experimentally expand a wide range of movement qualities through dance. The focus is on a regular physical practice – both as a means to broaden your own movement vocabulary and performance presence, as well as a gateway to creative processes. Influenced by choreographic methods such as the GAGA technique and somatic practices, Dominika Cohn has choreographically developed her concept of movement qualities over more then a decade. She uses this practice as a specific approach to dance and movement improvisation that can be applied in a variety of ways.
“Movement qualities” is form of improvisation that is accessible to all body types, abilities and levels of experience. Since the sessions build on each other, regular participation and timeliness is strongly encouraged. |
