The course deals with basic methods of information science. These include various instruments for conducting empirical studies, such as questionnaires and interviews, but also usability tests and prototyping. In addition, other aspects of information science research, namely literature research and the statistical analysis of surveys, are also covered. In addition to familiarising themselves with these methods, students also develop their own ideas for carrying out corresponding studies.
